the rangers are impressing me.

big time.

soriano is not going to be traded.

i was wrong.

they have an amazing core of hitters.

Fullmer and Texiera aren't even close to their potentials yet...

it is the pitching that is surprising.

it is the pitching that is surprising. fullmer is like 30...i think he is pretty much at his.

with you-know-whos money freed up, the rangers will be a contender sooner than we all thought

also: look out for adrian gonzalez...

Actually Rangers still pay a substancial portion of A-rod's salary so it's not a total clean break.

last year he batted .306 .387 .500. He once belted 32 homers for toronto. He can really be good when not injured...and he's in a hitter's park.

the rangers will be paying money for arod until that contract expires.

the better money saver....

when chan ho park's contract ends.

as far as the rangers and their veterans....

all veteran everyday players could most likely be traded as the season wears on for young arms.if there is one thing this organization has....its 9 million young outfielders...and they can put big tex out in the outfield and bring back adrian gonzalez.

oh ya....and he is 29.

:)

You said that Fullmer "is 30" and we shouldn't expect much more from him. When healthy, he has been a phenominal player, so him batting .245 now isn't "the real brad fullmer", so the texas offense will get a valuable boost when he comes roaring back.

He is 29, he was born in january...whoops.

Regardless, give bard props. fullmer is like 30...i think he is pretty much at his.

He's better than what you are saying in this previous quote.

Fullmer isnt all that impressive for a DH/1B. And he can barely field 1B. Couple that with his awful numbers vs lefties (550OPS?) and you have a very limited player.

What the hell is a Bard?

My only point is that though some are saying the entire texas offense is streaking, both texiera and fulmer are not performing to potential.

A bard is a poet. Daniel Bard is a very good freshman pitcher for UNC. :thumbup

Hmm, doesn't help me in this baseball conversation

You spelt Brad wrong in one of your posts so I guess he was making fun of that or something.
