Our lefthanded relievers

Featured Replies

I remember McKeon said that an extra lefty in the bullpen would help against lefthanded bats that supply a lot of the punch for our divisional rivals (Thome, Floyd, Drew).

So why when Chad Fox went down and we weren't facing an NL East opponent for another month would we bring up Gracesqui? Nothing against him personally (and he's not to blame tonight) but righhanders hit him as well as they hit Phelps and Perisho. Why is half of our bullpen made up of lefty specialists when the only big lefty bat we were to face during Fox' absence was Barry Bonds (who we refuse to pitch to anyway).

The lack of right-handed relievers is leaving us without options late in the game!

I think Oliver may end up being another lefty arm in the pen.

I'm sure if they demote Oliver from the rotation they would send one of our lefty relievers down to the minors. Their not going to have 4 lefty relievers.

None of our left handers are getting the job done.

Perisho sucks, that all i have to say about him. It seems everytime he comes in, they do a couple of runs on him. Gresesqui had a bad night yesterday. How is Tejera doing in the minors?

The bullpen is not bringing us down slowly after a hot start. But who among us expected anyone besides Benitez to pitch above average baseball? oh...and Foxy.

No one did, but I atleast expected them to be servicable. We have three guys who are servicable to 10% of the baters in the league.

he has like a 2.20era and bailed out Wayne big time last night

he does not suck

What about the two times he came in extra innings and gave up the game-winning runs? Or that righthanded batters are getting on base at a .462 clip.

He's been pretty reliable against lefties, but even then has walked a third of those that he's faced.

Considering no one has ever done two runs on him I'm not quite sure what you are talking about. Maybe you mean hits because two times in thirteen appearances he gave up two hits :)

Left Handed Batters have a .000 average against him. Righties are batting ..381. He is our left handed specialist.....or at least he should be.
