May 10, 200422 yr who do we have starting? Matt Blank. vs. Kris Wilson for Omaha...I was hoping for Greinke, that woulda been cool.
May 10, 200422 yr Author Nice play by Valdez to save a run on a throw from the outfield. He spun and threw out the runner coming home from third. Valdez leads off the next inning, get's thrown out of the game by the homeplate umpire when he drew a line in the opposite battersbox. This is the second time this umpire has thrown out a batter on the 'Topes for doing this.
May 10, 200422 yr Who takes over? I'm listening to the game and the commercial breaks are really annoying.

May 10, 200422 yr Author Going to the top of the ninth it's 7-5 'Topes with their closer, Toby Borland looking for the save. He pitched the 8th, got three batters on three pitches.
May 10, 200422 yr Author Chris Aguila makes a terrific running catch at the wall for the first out. Borland strikes out another. Two outs. Borland and Wathan collide on bunt, safe at first. Call third strike. Borland's fifth save. 'TOPES WIN ! 7-5
May 10, 200422 yr Author Borland up for Gracesaui?? :mischief2 I always try to not second-guess the Marlins'front office because they know so much more about the skillset and MLB potential of every player in their organization than we do, BUT, Borland does have 5 saves and a .96 (yes that's right under 1.00) era so far this season. In no way am I saying he can still pitch in the bigs but at the AAA level he seems to be able to do his job exceedingly well. So far he's won 3 and saved five. Here's his line so far in 2004 Pitchers W-L ERA G GS CG GF SH SV IP H R ER HR BB SO WP T.Borland 3-0 0.96 15 0 0 12 0 5 18.2 13 2 2 0 6 15 1
May 10, 200422 yr Borland up for Gracesaui? :mischief2 How about Borland for Phelps? We have too many lefties in the pen, and I believe Gracesqui has a much greater upside. Borland might even be able to hold down the 8th inning.
