Well, since you are an expert on the psychological mindset of a MLB player, I guess I have nothing else to say.

And since statistics prove all, I guess I'm all out of words too. :rollseyes Sure they arn't always right, but I trust them a hell of a lot more than your wild musings on the psychology of baseball players. Laughable mang! Well I'd rather take my 'wild musings' and stay in the grey area then go to your black and white area, where statistics are above all and clutch hitting doesn't exist.

I don't know if it was because our team was down by 5 or the level of frustration was at an all time high, due to Clemens owning our batting line up. But, we looked done on the 9th and I don't care what the stats said.

Physcology plays on everything in life, not just sports.

but wouldnt the team have gone up to bat vs Lidge and finally thought

"wow, he is no Clemens" ?

there mindset would probably be in the positive now that Roger was out, against the negative of being down 5 runs

wow psychology is dumb

True enough, Lidge has pretty disgusting stuff, too.

Cabrera struck out for the 3rd out with a half swing that looked weak.

Now tell me that with the tying run in scoring position if his intensity might be up a few notches.

With 5 runs to go, and 1 out, and knowing who is coming up behind you....was his intensity there? I didn't look like it.

Is anyone missing Uggy and Helling?

Because i am...

It sure was nice to have two closers, plus an 8th inning guy last year. Yeah, Helling was fantastic in long relief.

I am also frustrated. I can take losing because its early in the season but the way they have been losing is the most frustrating. There have only been maybe a handful of games that we flat out lost so far this season. Hopefully the Fish can get this together and get back to playing like the World Champs that they are.

Does anybody have the same feeling of frustration right now? I don't exactly know what to say, but I know I have to say something. This is it. It's just disgusting when you're up 1-0 on the best pitcher in the game right now in the 7th and we manage to lose 6-1. Ugh.

Roger Clemens is the best pitcher in baseball? He might be doing the best so far but he isn't the best at all.
