We need another hitting coach

Featured Replies

Don't blame the fact that were not hitting on the coach...I mean he is the cause of it a lot of times but you cant really blame him because he isnt the one who is doing bad at the plate...its the players. And if your going to get another hitting coach than you might aswell just get rid of Robinson...there is no need for 2 hitting coach's.

:cheers The drinks are on you-right?

lol :)

so now all is not good cape?

Too hard cheering for the Astros to notice our offense?

I think we do need the help. If pitchers can have specialty coaches come in, why not hitters? when i complained about things about 3 weeks ago, you simply said that there is no need to worry.

now i guess its time to start worrying some.

I agree with Marlins post earlier in here.

It's easy to just blame the coach, but really they take too much blame when things are bad and too much praise when they go well.

Look at the White Sox. My team isn't hitting for crap right now, but i'm more worried about the fact that the hitters suck than worried about when we will fire our hitting coach.

Baseball is a players game, not a coaches game. Sure, a manager can revive a team and bring excitement along, but when it comes down to it, players win and lose games.

Yeah...the problem is that some people look outside of the game at what isnt happening on the field...they pay too much attention to how teams plan for everything and how the coach's coach...etc. But they should pay more attention to whats going on in the actual game...and there isnt really anything that you could tell a hitter that you know for sure would help a hitter in a certain AB...so anything that the coach tells a batter dosent really mean anything...IT'S ALL UP TO THE HITTER NOT THE COACH.

Bill works with Gonzo alot and Sea bass still struggles.

Tony Gwynn for hitting coach!

so fire all the coaches right because they're good for nothing.

Call up George Steinbrenner, I'm sure he'd be willing to sell us one of his Ted Williams clones as a hitting coach.

Forget tweaking the coaches b/c of poor performance.

How about Jack sits the players that are slumping?????

siting players=good idea

but sometimes they need some playing time to get out of their slumps...
