May 16, 200422 yr Because you can't speak the language And when your pitcher has over 12 K's 7th inning or later I don't care if he's thrown 180 pitches he isn't coming out of the game Well first-a pitcher wouldnt be able to handle throwing that many pitches. Second-thats nice that you would do that...but he wouldnt even want to stay in the game and you would mess up a great pitchers arm then you would regret your decision.

Nolan Ryan once threw over 200 pitches in a game He turned out ok
May 16, 200422 yr Whats that i hear? its a loud busy signal coming from NY Boston and Milwaukee. Cashman and Prince Theo cant get through since the brew crew left the phone off the hook... Sheets will not be traded.
May 16, 200422 yr Sheets will not be traded. Yep, Brewers GM said it in a Gammons column last week I think. It's the last thing he'll do and it's even more obvious after today. Sox and Yanks don't even half of what it would take in terms of young talent to get Sheets.
May 16, 200422 yr finally someone listens to me :lol Brewers control his rights for this + 2 seasons. he wont be leaving unless they get a HUGE offer.

I said it before ... it would really really stupid for the brew crew to trade Mr Sheets ohh yeah ... congrats on that performance today whoohoo GO SHEETS !!!
May 17, 200422 yr finally someone listens to me :lol Brewers control his rights for this + 2 seasons. he wont be leaving unless they get a HUGE offer. adn the yankees and boston have barren farm systems pretty much. sheets will be their anchor for a long while.... once their kids get ready....look out.
May 17, 200422 yr Boston does not have many top tier talents, NY has a small handful but they are not even in AA yet. the one thign they do have is the almight $ and with that anyone can be had.

Good for Milwuakee, its about time a low budget team got some balls and kept some talent instead of dishing it out to the power players. :thumbup
May 17, 200422 yr my question is how many Pirates will be deported from the Pitt this year? Do they even have anyone worth trading? Mesa is good. Kendall is decent. Perez is decent. Who else?
May 17, 200422 yr Kip Wells him and Benson have huge contracts but they are both above average pitchers they will most likely be in any of the big teams by july shucks for the pirates for getting such bad contracts
May 17, 200422 yr They got Tike Redman and Jason Bay who probably won't be traded though. Jack Wilson is a pretty good SS and Craig Wilson's hair is better than Johnny Damons.
May 17, 200422 yr Just for argument's sake, Sheets threw 116 pitches. Of those 116, 91 were strikes. Yeah, he was coming out of that game.
