rferry
Not going to hit for average? I thought one of his strong points was his hitting. Not for average. He's never hit higher than .275 for a full minor league season. He proves his worth by taking walks and slamming the long ball.
Ramp
catcher Josh Willingham went 2/4 last night with 1 run, 2rbi, and a homerun(7) his average is up to .240(he was at .205 just last week) for all you other statheads, his obp is .379 and his sluggin is .521 his new up to date numbers are flat out sick .288/.443/.600/1.033 10hr 30rbi in 42 games hell if Castro's ops could be 600 right now I think we would all take it

FishFanPR
do you guys honestly think that there's any chance to see Willingham any time soon? I certainly hope so, but the FO and Jack don't appear to be giving any consideration to the idea whatsoever.

Malman
What if we sent down Sutton and brought up JW? We need another righthanded bat on the bench to replace Cordero and Mordy or Red or Easley could play first in a pinch. Thoughts?

Three catchers=NO We don't really need another RH bat on the bench...you named three we DO have.
Malman
Well Red can use a few days off and Cordero was a righty. I'm not saying to keep three catchers for the whole season but it might be the only way to get Willingham up to see what he can do.
83Gator
What if we sent down Sutton and brought up JW? We need another righthanded bat on the bench to replace Cordero and Mordy or Red or Easley could play first in a pinch. Thoughts? I'd rather not have Willingham on the bench. If we bring him up, I'd like him splitting starts with Redmond and hopefully eventually taking over the job. Because Willingham is already on the 40-man roster, he'd be easy to bring up (easier than Treanor) but we'd burn an option on him. I wouldn't do it unless we decide to dump Castro, or try to slip him through waivers and send him to AAA. I'm pretty sure we'd have to pay Castro his major league salary even if we are able to send him down.
