Orange T-Shirt Jerseys

Featured Replies

I think it is iMac fever hitting the Marlins jersey company.

I don't think we will see them wearing strawberry jerseys anytime soon just because they will be selling them in t-shirts.

Here is what I think it is.

Marlins unis will stay the same, but black is not a nice color for marketing, so you use the more pleasing orange for things like skeds, media guides, press badges, etc.

What's pleasing about the color orange?

on the media stuff, it is better than black to go along with the World series logo and teal.

Teal and orange accent each other well.

You're right. It can be used rather well with light colors.

Hopefully this stops the trend towards black.

If all the orange is being used for is to sell shirts, then I am find with that as long as the Fish dont take the field wearing it.

Today I saw the first orange Marlin cap as well........ :thumbdown

the players are not wearing it so it is not going to be worn this season.

it is just a marketing thing to me.

Yeah but what's different is orange is more widespread. Media guides, PAX logo, everything.

Yeah but what's different is orange is more widespread. Media guides, PAX logo, everything. orange has always been in the Marlins color scheme. It was always the color of seams on the baseball, but before since everything was teal, it never stood out. But Loria put more black and silver with the teal and the orange is starting to stand out.

The Marlins put out a new logo on the media guide. The Marlins TV Network crew was finally able to scan it and make it presentable for broadcast and that is why it is orange. Last year the marketing was black and silver.

How is it presentable again?

How is it presentable again? it is what the Marlins put out, so it must be used. they made sure it was in the proper format so the scorestrip would accept it and air it. if not the logo area would be blank and the Marlins TV affils would be pissed because they would not be able to insert the marlins logo there.

Hey TrueFan. So are the orange jerseys going to be worn by players in games in the future?

Umm..I really don't want to start anything....but let's just say it's a possibility more for the BP jerseys than the regular season- game day jerseys.

The orange craze continues. During todays game they showed the world series rings that are going to be given out at Mondays game and they are different from the 1st ones, this time where it says world champs around the outside it is in teal, and in the middle where it says Marlins its on an ORANGE backround instead of black.

Bring the teal alternates back!!!
