May 23, 200422 yr i think it is a marketing gimmick. The Marlins jerseys will not go Orange in my opinion. I think the orange and pink jerseys t-shirts are for the ladies. My mom hates pink, but orange is better than black on a hot day. It is all about marketing. I doubt the players will take an orange jersey, they are not the Dolphins and Loria knows this. Remember the Marlins were spawned from the Dodgers, O's, and Indians as a minor league team.

Anybody can notice that there was no orange at all last year, but it is now becoming our alternate color.

May 23, 200422 yr I highly doubt the Marlins themselves would ever wear a orange jersey on the field...the Yankees sell their logo in every color from baby blue to baby s*** green; it's all about merchandising. As long as the powder pink and orange shirts sell, they're going to be available to the fans. Look around Pro Player, a lot of people wear orange, from the Dolphins jersies (which I saw a few of) to the new orange shirts, to just ordinary clothes that were orange (I don't know why, but I saw a few of these too), orange is a popular color. If Loria can make some money off of this craze for orange, I'm all for it...it means we'll have some money to throw at Pavano and Penny in the offseason. thats a good point. i have a blue dolphins jersey but they dont wear blue. theyre probably just selling the orange jersey for merchandising like you see other franchises sell their clothing in different colors... i hope. There's a difference, until last year that was officially the Dolphin's alternate uniform. They just never wore it.
