Last Year Edgar hit 30 points higher than Nomar, and his OBP was 40 points better. Two Years ago their Averages were about the same with Renteria having a better OBP. Nomar does hit more homers, but like I said you can attribute a lot of that to playing at Fenway.

Edgar > Nomar

In everything

no way..

in defense and that is about it..

nomar hits for better average and drives in more runs AND hits more bombs..

i dont know about OBP but i'm sure nomar has better slugging than edgar too...

maybe you could say edgar is more "clutch" but many dont even believe in clutch

i think you are just giving edgar more props 'casue he's an ex fish :)

dont get me wrong..edgar is great....but nomar is better....i cant believe i'm about to say this but it seems lately that nomar is underrated Edgar is a GG

He is among the best Offensive SS in the league at a pitcher's park

He is a World Series hero, and is fondly remembered here

He is most definately clutch

He has become 5 tool

What is not to like?

steady...

read what i wrote..

and i quote "dont get me wrong..edgar is great....but nomar is better"

and to your Gold Glove comment...i acounted for that

"in defense and that is about it.."

and I even wrote that he is "clutch"....but like i said...some peeps dont even think that exists...

i'm not saying edgar is bad....any team is lucky to have him

I just think its foolish to say that he is better than nomar in everything...cause he is not....nomar is better than him more categories...

Nomar hits more homers, that's it, and he would only hit 15-20 homers a year away from Fenway.

Maybe he is better in annoying batter's box habits

However, Edgar is faster, knocks in a bazillion runs, average is about the same all considered, and the only thing Nomar has over Edgar is power, but it isn't like Edgar has none.

Add to that that while we all know Edgar performs in situations, Nomar was almost unseen last season in the playoffs

minus still thinks we should bench Choi to start him

why do ppl like OMGNunez so much?! HES GARBAGE!!

I've just about given up on Nunez now.

It's become apparent that he just doesn't think while he's at the plate.

Question...why didn't Choi start? Couldn't Easley start in RF?

Robertson is a lefty. Jack has no confidence at all in Choi aghainst lefties.

start conine at first, bench choi, put lenny at left

no,

Put Cabs in Left, Put Conine in right, and leave Choi cemented to first base.

I love how Choi has 32 walks in 165 Official at bats, while second on the team (Mikey) has 31 in 232 official at bats

Choi K's a lot right now but for sure he has a damn good eye. If he ever gets his swing corrected, he has all star written all over him.
