Well Jackson did a horrible job coaching for the last series

 

and Brown coached better than him

 

Jackson always had great teams and he would have never won without them

 

and now he cant even with WITH a good team...

dont get blinded by all his rings...I hate the Lakers but love Phil. I am a huge Bulls fan. IMO, with all the crap the Lakers had going on this season, the Lakers shouldn't have even been in the Finals. They had no bench and were battling injuries the whole season. I'd like to see any other coach hold a team togethor after dealing with , Kobe Rape Trial, Malone injuries, Payton's diminishing skills, team injuries, etc etc.

 

The Lakers didn't win with their talent before he got there.

By you standards, you should also say Red Auerbach, Pat Riley and Chuck Daly are overrated.

 

Every coach in the league anymore has to be a coach/psychologist to some extent and this is where PJ excels....the art of keeping all your players happy or as happy as possible. Don't ever listen to that poster.

bad point. Riley coached the HEAT back in the days when the Knicks were good, the Pacers, Bulls had Jordan, the Magic had Shaq/Penny...those were the good days for the East. Anyone who says Pat is overrated should go suck on something.

I don't even see how anyone can say Riles is overrated, it's not like the media hypes him up all the time or anything, he's mentioned when it comes to HOF coaches but not much else.

 

Pat has accomplished soo much in his coaching career, how dare anyone call him overrated. he made his teams into playoff contenders every year until the 36-46 heat 3 years back. that's 20 years of straight playoffs.

 

he 3peated with the lakers and got the knicks into championship contenders and totally turned around the heat even with a 61-21 season.

 

his slow paced coaching style just caught up with his modern athletic teams.

in all honesty.....

 

 

 

i could of coached that laker team of the 80s to championships.

then you should have been able to coach this seasons lakers too...considering they were 4 future HOF's that were supposed to break the bulls record of most wins in a season

and about the heat, what the f*** were the Heat before he came? they were f***ing irrellevant, he made them matter. he built this franchise and made them contenders. without Riley this franchise aint s***.

 

 

about Jackson, yeah the man always had superstars but he knew how to get them to work together and work towards the main goal. he deserved all 9 rings. the man just knew how to make things work.
