not really.

nobody suspected phil was coming back win or lose.

Yeah, I know that chances were slim. But if he doesn't come back, it's been all over the news that Kobe will come back, blah blah blah. ESPN will have a field day with this.

Phil Jackson dosen't deserve his 9 rings.

That's just dumb.

He won 9 rings, he deserved them all.

No matter how much talent he had on his teams. Well you said it,

All his teams had a lot of talent.

If he was a good coach he would have been able to win.

I mean his team is better.

There is no exscuse.

kobe and shaq wont play together again....phil or no phil methinks.

I'm still standing by the theory I read a while back and have adopted.

Kobe will be a Clipper. It makes too much sense. They have the money, he'd stay in LA, he'd stick it to Shaq, and they'd be pretty darn good. I mean, not championship contenders (yet) or anything, but playoff team.

And if I'm wrong, so what?

And if I'm wrong, so what? Well, with the way he's playing right now, he can't stick nothing to Shaq. Kobe's ballhogging nonsense cost the Lakers game 4.

we may of had the same source...i just forget mine.

it makes perfect sense. kobe's wife is from LA. he still gets the huge stage of LA.

and he can show how 'great' he is by leading that sorry piece of crap franchise to something actually meaningful.

its going to happen.

the lakers are done....with or without kobe...they still have no cap room.

to say Phil didn't deserve those rings is stupid

Well Jackson did a horrible job coaching for the last series

and Brown coached better than him

Jackson always had great teams and he would have never won without them

and now he cant even with WITH a good team...

Great coach?Dont think so

dont get blinded by all his rings...

dont get blinded by all his rings... You have to have a great team to win a Championship so yes all the teams he won rings with were great.

Maybe just maybe the Pistons had more talent being that they actually had a bench and role players unlike the Lakers.

Yes, Jackson was outcoached by Admin Brown, a hall of fame coach in his own right, but that does not mean he doesn't deserve all 9 rings or isn't a great coach.

You can't win it every year.

dont get blinded by all his rings...I hate the Lakers but love Phil. I am a huge Bulls fan. IMO, with all the crap the Lakers had going on this season, the Lakers shouldn't have even been in the Finals. They had no bench and were battling injuries the whole season. I'd like to see any other coach hold a team togethor after dealing with , Kobe Rape Trial, Malone injuries, Payton's diminishing skills, team injuries, etc etc.

The Lakers didn't win with their talent before he got there.

The Bulls didn't win with their talent before he got there.

He came and they won.

By you standards, you should also say Red Auerbach, Pat Riley and Chuck Daly are overrated.

Every coach in the league anymore has to be a coach/psychologist to some extent and this is where PJ excels....the art of keeping all your players happy or as happy as possible.

I mean he wasnt able to do anything with the Heat

And than Stan came and he almost took them all the way...

Riley is in the top 10 for most rings...and he wasnt able to do anything with a team, while a coach that not a lot of people knew od almost took them all the way.
