this was by far the WORST umpired game this year. whatever the umps name was he should go to hell. the marlins wouldn't get one call on borderline pitches while the braves were getting every call. hampton would get calls that the d-train wouldn't get. it got so fustrating watching the calls i had to change the channel because i was so pissed off. i hate these types of umps that when they give an incorrect call they don't compensate on other calls and invent 2 different strike zones for each team.

BTW what was the umps name? :censored :censored

I agree. He has moved his strike zone more than Manzanillo jumps around on the mound when he is pitching.

offense still sucked

offense still sucked

They scored 4 runs!

It was the pitching's fault.

yeah, willis got killed with the walks

not for those walks we prob win...

The ump wouldn't call the corners for him. Either throw a grapefruit or the guy walks.

Even Len and Tommy were dissin.

Did anyone else notice taht when Damion bobbled the ball at 1st he did recover in time to get the out? Instead the runner at first was called safe. That would have been the third out of the inning... instead it lead to 2 runs and momentum shifted.

We need to get a system where the calls of ball and strike is done by a computer. Like in Tennis, and a video review system to challenge these ducks.

yea the ump did have a retards view of the strike zone and gave sum horrible calls in favor of atlanta but we cant forget our offense was horrible...theres a trend going on,it was looking like the offense might spark cuz of the 4 run first inning then it died...all star break is almost here so its a good time to start talking about trades who should the marlins trade to provide an offensive boost.

OK, 4 runs in a game is not horrible. The pitching had a meltdown. 4 runs means a win most games.

why don't they use ESPN K-Zone?

it was horrible, the offense got 4 runs and as soon as they got down they shut down, this is not the same team as last year, last years team went down fighting this year were going down poping out and strikeing out..they dont have the same heart

last year's team did that too.

Choi has that ball

I was glad to see 4 runs early on the board ( I was scoreboard watching at Camden Yards all night and I wasn't too thrilled when the scoreboards went out for about 10 minutes and when they came back on it said 6-4 Atlanta)...but it was like before when the Marlins score some runs early and do nothing the rest of the way...8 unanswered runs tonight, bad pitching or bad umpiring aside...Didnt see the game, don't know who was at fault but 4 runs early is not an excuse to just coast thru the rest of the way...need to keep piling it on...

This game was lost on walks and defensive lapses

A video replay wouldnt be a bad idea for close plays and such, but balls and strikes should sitll be left to umps, its part of the game and te rich tradition of baseball.

marlinfan, k-zone is not perfect either

Whether the umps were bad or not is irrelevant, we made a lot of mistakes on defense and the Braves took advantage of it.
