My #1 beef with Mr.Loria was the way he handle negotiation.I really believe their plan all along was to make it difficult for Pudge to accept their offer and say "They tried".This team would have better off having Pudge even if it meant spending more than what they were ready to offer. The took the cheap route and fans are the one suffering the most. They got their stadium deal which was #1 in their agenda.

I'm not a team homer and I criticize FO if they make a stupid move.

God forbid we have a discussion on a message board about a former player Juanky. Get over yourself. Go to a real police acadamy if you want to play cop but quit doing it on a message board.

Well, you don't see me starting a new damn thread everyday because I miss Chuck Carr now do you? Oh, how the Edgar Renteria trade was a joke, do I complain about that every other loss? No. Pudge is gone. He has no one to blame but Borass and himself. Funny you wanted him so bad, since I didn't see you in line to pony up money to pay for the 4 years he wanted.

How does my opinion as a fan in wanting Pudge to return to the Marlins affected by my ability to pay his salary. That is asinine. Do you even know what you are saying sometimes.

Yes, I know what I am saying all the time.

I also know that most people stick on the money. Even if the money was there, that wasn't the issue! It was the years! Open your eyes my Lord. How can people be so stubborn?

There wasn't much doubt Pudge would do well this year. He won't be worth 10 mil in 2006. Book it.

When you stop being an ass then maybe your opinion will matter.

Maybe if you and Scott decided to stop being stubborn and instead of making some random pessimistic thought actually looked things through, you would see the reality of the world and the falsehood of the little one you live in.

And why don't you take a poll and see whose opinion matters more?

If money wasnt an issue then this scenario would have worked for the Marlins:

The Marlins would pay Pudge in a descending salary structure. It would look like this:

2004: 14 million

2005: 12 million

2006: 8 million

2007: 6 million

That way the Marlins would not be paying a 36 year old catcher anymore then six million the last year of the contract. This would protect the Marlins from being starpped with a high paid over the hill catcher. Pudge gets his 40 million over 4 years. Why didnt this happen? Because the Marlins did not want to pay him 40 million nor did they think they could afford to.

Dont kid yourself when you say that money was not the problem. Money was a big issue.

And where does it say again that Pudge would agree to that, especially with already differed payments from his year here?

Your responses are getting weaker and weaker. I am bored. Who is next?

Comical ending to a fruitless discussion on your part.

Now, when do we expect the next dumb Pudge thread? Tomorrow or the day after?

  • Author

do we need another topic on mr. rodriguez after every marlin loss?

havent we rehashed this enough?

give me a damn break.

I had to express my frustration. What makes it worst is how Detroit Tigers are performing this year. Can't bring back Pudge but whole point of the thread is to simply point out how big Pudge was for this team.

DAS just close this thread please.
