My NEW Rant

Featured Replies

I'm neutral (maybe a slightly positive) on Loria.

- I'm waiting to see how the whole stadium situation materialize.

- I want to see them starting to sign some of the starter pitchers to multi-year contracts.

Let's face it, our market suck. we can't even put decent numbers on the seats even with winning. And for that, I can't fault Loria. I think he is doing a decent job at trying to build the franchise base.

If you can honestly tell me that this bullpen would be fine if Fox is there, you are lying to yourself.

As for Pudge, they signed a guy who wanted to play for them for 1 year. Was it a good move?? Yes. Was it a long term committment to winning?? No.

The Urbina move was also good, but yet again, bringing him in wasn't exactly a long term committment to winning.

Those, my friend, are called support moves. Making moves like that gains support from your fanbase, and therefore allows you to get away with not raising payroll after winning a world series, leaving holes in your bullpen and lineup after winning a world series, and things to that degree.

this is your statement I am disputing.

Loria had nothing to do with them winning a world series last year, that is all I'm saying.

the rest of the stuff we can debate all day, & we've been over it a thousand times.

Loria left blatant and obvious holes in this lineup and bullpen last offseason, and has yet to do anything even resembling trying to make a trade this year to make the team better.

Like you knew Conine would have his worst year in the majors this year after having a very good one last year

And did you think Castro would be that bad?

No. You didnt, I didnt, no one did..... They are clear holes in the lineup but back in March they didnt look that bad

Agreed completely. And to say he is ignoring trying to make them better is obsurd. The guy went out and got Koch and hopefully is going to go get somebody else as well we hope.
