After attending yesterday's game....I believe AJ is back !!!

He was dealing, mixing in all his pitches....up till that leg twinge in the 8th where the Rays scored 3 runs....

Like last year, when Beckett was injured for the majority of the season, but came back in the last 2 months and post season, AJ will be a significant contributor for the Marlins in the second half.

He was dealing his FB in the 96-98 range and mixing in curves, changeups and only gave up 4 hits....

That is the key to winning....starters go 7-8 innings and Manzy and Benitez finish it off.

Good to see AJ with his 1st win, we all know he pitched well enough to win in 2 other games. One of which Armando blew a save.

GO FISH !!! :thumbup

Honestly, AJ has returned to his dominating form much faster than anyone could have expected. Sure his first two starts were a bit rough, but after than he has been in control, and nasty.

There will be a healthy competition for Ace of the staff in the 2nd half.
