June 14, 200322 yr I was thinking of people who the Marlins could possobly trade for to get TH out of LF, and Rocco Baldelli's name popped into my head... I'm not implying we trade the D-Rays TH, but that we trade some prospects for Rocco... It isn't like he is an untouchable player... Just a thought... Anybody else got any?
June 14, 200322 yr Author When it's the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, a team that can't get to . 500 with or w/o him and one that is built on prospects, a team that can't sign him to a long term deal, he isn't untouchable... Put all the intangibles of that franchise together and he isn't untouchable...
June 14, 200322 yr They have him cheap for 4 more years I believe because of arbitration. They won't even consider trading him until he gets close to becoming a FA.

June 15, 200322 yr We wont get Rocco. He is the biggest Run Producer the Rays have. Huff has very good power and can hit very good. I would make a deal for him. Todd isnt doing to well for us so he can be traded along with some Prospects but the Rays wont let go of Rocco.

June 15, 200322 yr There's a big diffrence between the marlins and the D-Rays. The D-rays could sign players long term they have done this already once , but they did it with the wrong type of players. So they will sign rocco and huff long term if they have to.
