Posted July 9, 200420 yr I have an odd question and situation..... Put yourself in this scenario...You meet someone at an airport and talk for about an hour. You're on the same flight, but you don't sit with him/her because the flight is full and you're 20 rows apart. When you get to the destination, you don't see him/her again.... It's now 2 months later and you're going back to the city where you met this person, which just so happens to be where he/she lives...If you wanted to get in touch with him/her, but all you had was the following information: -First Name -Flight Number -Date of the flight -Seat Number on the flight would you be able to get in touch with this person somehow? If so, how? This is strictly hypothetical of course.... Just wondering what to do if a friend of mine every comes across a situation like this.... :whistle

You could always try going to the center of the town and yelling out their name though. Hypothetically.

July 9, 200420 yr Well you could call the airport. I do think they keep records of flights and who's on them for special reasons and stuff, maybe they'd have info there.
July 9, 200420 yr If I were you, I would just leave it alone. She might think you're a lunatic. Why didn't you exchange phone numbers, email, or screen names.

I really didn't think much of it at the time.....When I got to my final destination (San Francisco - caught a Giants game, by the way)... I didn't even wait around. My bags were the first off of the plane and I took off...It was later that I thought I should have done something... I'm not seriously thinking of doing anything..... Just thought I'd bring it up here for fun cause I'd been thinking about a bunch of what if's.....
July 9, 200420 yr wow, she musta been unbelievable. i dunno what kind of impression you left on her, but one would think she'd get scared off if you somehow got her info and tried to get in touch with her. was her first name VERY unique? you could look that up.... slim chance, but eh... if i were in your shoes i'd let it go--i don't believe in soulmates, and 9 times out of 10, the guy's efforts will backfire--but if youre really crazy about seeing her, an idea would be to call the airline with a made-up story. e.g., say she asked you to hold something valuable and you forgot to give it back...and you saw it sitting around just the other day and wanted to mail it back to her. something perhaps more believable would be if you said you asked her to hold something and you never got it back...well, you get the gist. of course you could get in huge s*** if youre caught trying to get ahold of someone's personal info in such an underhanded fashion, so i'd probably recommend you just leave things be.
July 9, 200420 yr I'd be freaked out if that person contacted me. That person was a single-serving friend. Nothing more, nothing less.
July 9, 200420 yr This reminds me of the movie, "On the Line" where the guy meets a girl on a train in Chicago and forgets to ask for her number and he ended up posting up ads all over the city asking her to call him. Good luck, dood. :thumbup
