My night at the park

Featured Replies

well it wasnt a complete downer

I got my boy Willy to sign a ball and my glove for me

spoke to Damion Easley for about 5 minutes(very nice guy, i think he was shocked I knew who he was)

shook hands with Art Howe(:plain) and took a pic with Cliff and Mike Cameron

stupid bully ruined my night but oh well :cool

What happened with the bully? Anything we need to revisit? Maybe a night at the ballpark with everyone from the board going after the guy who's messing with our fellow board member??

How did you meet all these guys Ramp? Were you sitting in thos $75 field level seats right near the bullpen? I always see Rosey and players talking to people sitting in those seats.

No I was sitting 3rd base line right next to the Mets dugout

but when you walk to those seats you walk passed the Marlins and Mets locker rooms and the players are always walkin thru there to get to the dugout

Heh....you can see there is some anger and frustration some of us fans are looking to take out on somebody. I saw a chance and I was ready to jump at it...

Oh well...

i had a good time tonight. i sat in the power alley and sat in probably the only section in PPS without a met fan. on the way out i stopped by the area were the players keep their car and saw beckett, pavs, seabass's kid, mckeon's wife, choi's parents, and penny.

damn i never see players or anything, well maybe it's b/c i don't look.

i should really start.

ive had better times at the park.

not only because we lost but because some dumbass annoying women were sitting behind us yelling and screaming "Go Marlins" but by the 8th that became "this team is horrible, cant believe i spent money on this." i also got hit in the back of the head a few times accidentally by these dumbass bitches and they were f***ing screaming right in my ear and really were annoying the s*** out of me all night. they probably just got off the f***ing raft. (yeah i f***ing said it)

in the 5th inning, 3 men sat in front of us and then they took out a cell and started jumping up and down and waving at someone trying to get them to see them. even after they were spotted they kept jumping up and down like f***ing idiots.

i have decided that people that do these idiotic things should be dragged outside of the stadium and be stoned... or shot. their choice. that should be a new policy.

they took a couple of pictures that me and my friend mightve come out on. i hope we did because we were subtly flipping them off.

other than all that, it wasnt really a bad night.

yeah dude, it was bad. and of course the play on the field in the late innings added to my pain. on that castillo error in the 9th inning i just sat there staring at the field like nothing had happened feeling numb while my friend was yelling "did you see that s***".

hahahahahaha! awesome.

it seems like every time I go to a Marlins game, there's some annoying person to ignore. IMO a lot of people who go to games here don't really seem to be much of baseball fans..

so true. you know i dont expect everyone that goes to a game to be a hardcore fan or even a fan at all. games are fun to go to even if you dont follow the game but please dont act like an ass. my friend who went with me really doesnt follow the marlins and rarely watches games on tv but he asked me to take him to a game. yet he didnt make a fool out of himself.

its ok not to be a big baseball fan and still go to games because at the end its just entertainment. but please, dont f***ing act like a complete ass.

don't you hate it when they arrive in the 5th inning and are "baseball experts" and get up every other out ot get food, pee, and or talk on the phone looking for stupid friends.

Ugghhh that drives me crazy. People who are in and out of their seat 50 times and of course, always sit in the middle. Thankfully they almost always leave early...

Sometimes I really am jealous of teams who play in baseball towns. Mariners are playing horribly and they reached their lowest attendance at Safeco ever..and it was over 20,000 and people are still rooting and cheering like the team is 10 over .500.

Btw, I love the "baseball experts" who talk the ENTIRE game to their clueless friend and are constantly wrong..

the best stupid comment i've ever heard was: ''beckett likes giving up 3 or 4 runs in the first to put himself in the game" even though he was pitching against russ ortiz.

Yeah they are the best and the worst part is that you want to turn around and correct them but you cant because then they would know that you were sitting there listening in on their converstation.

I had a great time.... Loved all the Marlin fans leaving early. LOL

other stupid comments i've heard at baseball games:

-Did you know the "Jankees" have won the WS 10 straight times.

-At one time the Mets were the Brooklyn Dodgers. :o

-The Marlins are tied for first against the Yankees. :plain

- I'm not paying for 162 home games a year. :thumbup

-I remember seeing a Marlins game at Ebbets Field. :mischief2

-The Marlins will trade Luis Castillo for Derek Jeter. :lol

-Garry Sheffield hit 85 HR's one year with the Marlins . :lol

-Cabrera Hits a pop fly to shallow CF

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!EEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!"

-Grounder to Luis, Throws to first to get the out.

"YES, DOUBLE PLAY!!!! WAIT! WHAT HAPPEN...ITS 2 OUTS!!!"

I was 7 rows up on first base... Josh walked by and I screamed, "Josh, you're freakin' awesome!" He looked up, nodded, and put up a smile as big as the earth will know because somebody knows who he is. It felt good to do that for him... it's important to give those young guys who just get the call some fan support and cnfidence.
