Which is a reason I always say I think we need to keep him on this team. He's a huge part of the team. Sure, when he goes on a cold streak, he's REALLY cold, but his defense never slumps and when he's hot, he's one of the hottest hitters in the league. Hopefully, he can ride this one for a while.

Should Alex be moved up in the line up? 5th perhaps? He is hitting the ball so hard right now.....good patience and great swings.

 

I always believed Alex would do better not batting 8th. Give him a little protection and he will hit.

HE can't do any worse than Conine in 5th...

I'd leave the lineup how it is man. Stop messing with it. Maybe putting Alex at the 2 spot would put pressure on him. I would definitely leave it how it is and leave Alex where he is at.

I think that Gonzo got hurt right when we were starting to get rid of Castro, remember for a while there numbers werent so far apart so I think Gonzo figured that if he didnt get going that he could be gone also.

He has really stepped up lately and good for him because I know most everyone was ready to hang him earlier this season. Hopefully he can keep this up into the second half, and maybe give the rest of the team a spark as well.
