I'm sure how much longer this team will be consider a "contender". Contenders hit in the clutch, can hold runners, and have reliable bullpens.

Well, it's been a rough couple of months surely. I'm not sure how much yet another thread insulting this team is needed, but I can see what you're saying. When I watch games played by other contenders and division leaders, I see things that I just haven't seen in Marlins games in a long time.

 

It's feeling a little hopeless but this stretch coming up is key.. hopefully dominating the east once again can put a charge into this team. I think some trades just need to be made, plain and simple. Just having a new face, a new major league player might invigorate things.

I guess we can always look on the possitive side, we are only three games out, so we need to get our act together soon.. and here's to hoping the next 14 games are successful in our favor.

You can't blame Loria and Beinfest for the starting pitching being so bad as of late, the offense being weak, and the bullpen malfunctioning. They had limited resources and put together the best team possible. This team on paper is good, in practice....it hasn't been so hot lately, but baseball can change rapidly.

The SP hasnt been bad, just the Marlins cant hit. And the bullpen cant keep a lead or a tie. :thumbdown

The SP could be better, but they are overthrowing thanks to knowing they'll be lucky if they see anything but a zero on the board that night.

cape whats with you seriously....the starting pitching has been giving us ERA's of 3...what do you expect?

 

Penny certainly didn't blow the game today and Pavano most definitely didn't blow it yesterday so I don't know what you are talking about

When a team simply does have it, bringing someone in never really helps, such as what happened in Houston.
