July 21, 200422 yr A Redmond fan who roots for Willingham and Treanor to do well and not to be sent back to the minors... I didn't see last night's game on TV but was disturbed with the "Noteworthy" section of the PB Post coverage that reported: "...and catcher Mike Redmond was pulled in the ninth after he got 'worn out,' McKeon said." What's with "worn out?" I know Red is a gamer who plays hard and has spent some recent time on the bench and maybe didn't get his usual exercise... but pulled from a game in the 9th because he was worn out? Anybody have more on this (beyond the brief PB Post Note?) On top of the strained back a few weeks ago, this does not bode well.
July 21, 200422 yr flamarlins.com was equally vague when they said: "Mike Redmond was lifted in the bottom of the ninth inning of Tuesday's game, and it is doubtful he will play Wednesday." I don't know what is going on. (but I am always glad to contribute my ignorance)
July 21, 200422 yr I saw him foul a ball off of his toe and he was jumping around pretty good afterward. Maybe that's the reason. I really don't think 'worn out' is the entire story.
July 21, 200422 yr Redmond looks worn out it seems like every game he has played this year he has taken foul balls off every part of his body, and the ball of his to last night was the kicker oh well, give him a few days off see if that helps
July 21, 200422 yr Your certainly right Ramp Big Red is looking mighty beat this past week . Slow to get on his feet off of a wild pitch . looks like he is in pain when ever he makes a sudden move. I am not knocking the guy, you can clearly see him getting hit almost everynight . I feel for the guy , he's no spring chicken . I don't think he intended on playing this many games .

Redmond looks worn out, he has takin a beating this year
