Finally I got to register...

Featured Replies

Miami Dade College can be so freaking complicated.

I have been trying to register for like 2 hours now because the classes I need are either not available for they don't have a time/day scheduled for them yet.

I finally registered for two classes...

Jazz & Popular Music (elective)

General Earth Science (requirement)

For those of you who haven't gotten into college yet, have fun because it can be complicated. :pullhair

God, I can't wait to get into FIU. I know it's harder, I can deal with that. But I just want to get out of MDC. I hate it.

registering for classes at FIU is paradise if your a freshmen. registering as a sophomore on the other hand is a major pain in the ass. i guess ill find out how it is for juniors in a few weeks but it should be a little easier than sophomores.

Classes begin Aug. 25. Not too bad but not early either. I've been checking for awhile now for a certain class I wanted but it was listed as TBA. I check again and it's still TBA. I can't waste more time, so I just registered for those other two classes.

The reason why I told you this is because if you wait for more than 2 weeks after they start the register process, all classes fill up fast. Most of the classes for which I registered 3 weeks ago are already filled out.

woah so late?

i registered for classes back in April, it was a bitch then, but i got it done

I register the first day possible and even as such, have had some problems getting my schedule the way I want it. Senior level classes=huge pain in the butt.

im in MDC and i wont register till next week. the classes im takin are plentiful. prep math and eng 1101. and some computer classes that dont fill up to fast.

next semester is going to be pretty big for me. im gonna be taking studio production class so im finally gonna get a big taste of what im getting myself into. probably also gonna be taking photography. hopefully things will workout.

oh s***, omgnunez drove in a run. and it was a hard liner to. :o

Yea, I know. :confused

BTW, is anyone familiar with the MDC Hialeah campus? One of my classes is there.

ahh yes....the days of registering for classes.

as a freshman i could only take so much.

then as things progressed...it got complicated.....then a hell of a lot easier...one of the few perks of being an upperclassman.

15-18 hour semesters for me as an undergrad was fun....not that difficult.

just a pain.

in graduate school...just register the day before classes start....i'm guaranteed my classes anyway.

damn 15-18 hour semester? wow. furman you mean 30 hours in 2 semesters combined right?

i still havent taken more than 13 credit hours in a semester. this coming semester ill probably register for about 12 credits. im on pace to graduate on time though.

we have trimesters (with winter term being shorter)....oh crap, actually I took 32 credit hrs freshman year, 28 sophomore year....

Freshman Fall: 12 credit hrs

Freshman Winter: 8 credit hrs

Freshman Spring: 12 credit hrs

Sophomore Fall: 8 credit hrs

Sophomore Winter: 8 credit hrs

Sophomore Spring: 12 credit hrs

So, I've got 60 credit hours in 2 yrs.

sounds like you have an awesome semester ahead of you.

all three of those classes sound cool.

class on sat mornings will be a drag and i guess youll have to postpone late night fun for sat nights, but at least you wont be sleeping all day.

ive spent the last half hour seeing if a spot opens up in the other 2 time slots for that class with no luck. :lol ill probably check again later but your right. it shouldnt be that bad.

im actually pretty excited about this semester coming up. :thumbup

I've taken classes at FIU on Saturdays, although it sucks using your saturday for them it's still pretty cool because FIU is completely different on Saturdays. Very quiet, easy parking, no lines, etc. Nice change of pace from normal.

I'm taking 14 credits this semester, only one bad class time wise cuz of piece of s*** FIGS. The others are pimp.

i'm still lookin for that 3rd class.....if I cant get what I want, I'll underload...I mean, it's in-season for me, sports-wise, so underloading is almost the norm. Even with an underload, I'll be taking 28 credit hrs total this school year.
