Featured Replies

Texas hasnt really been hit in well over 10 years.

We are probably due....:plain

Cape...in 1992 you were what? 3?

Ya spending some extra money and/or time to make sure a quality job and quality materials is used pays off in the long run as opposed to the crap other wise known as cheap worksmanship and labor.

Sure it sounds nice and cheap when its going up...but when it comes down....you wish you went the extra mile.

There's a reason why there is no way in hell I'd ever buy a house from the vast majority of those 'builders' who put up houses(in terms of speed especially) like the dood at McDonalds makes burgers.

The Galveston hurricane utterly destroyed Galveston and its never recovered to its pre-1900 levels.

People had little to no warning about that storm really.....Thank goodness for modern weather technology.

that was quite a storm today out by the game

fun stuff

i love storms

Not so fun when your at the game and the power at the stadium goes off, only for a minute but it was pretty scary, All the ramps were flooded, I'd never seen rain like that at Pro Player ever before

i was at the game as well

i left a couple mins before the power went off, it was easy to tell the game wasn't goin to be played, so i left, and then goin down the road, we saw some places had the power off

I love hurricanes. I am so fascinated by them.

I believe we will be hit by a hurricane, our luck has been too good all over the United States lately.

I get scared everytime. I wish we lived in Rockledge or Cocoa...somewhere on the mainland...my house can stand hurricanes, but there'll be we'll be in the middle of the Indian River if one hits us.

Seems like all the hurricanes come directly towards us, then veer north at the very last second. Brevard County people know what I'm talking about (f_m, farmer fran, DW22). Hurricane Floyd for example.

btw, my brother tells me there's a Tropical Storm heading for the Carolinas....which wouldnt effect me (except for possible rain) in Greenville, but this weekend I'm going to Charleston...I dont know where the storm is, so I don't know if it's gonna hit, where it's gonna hit, or when. It just better not be nasty weather when im in Charleston. I want to see the sites.

I plan on it...I plan on goin to the market, and doin whatever. I'm probably stayin with my roommate at his beach condo...but this girl invited me to stay with her in her "river home" (apparently her family developed Kiowa (sp) Island), and are loaded. They have a house in downtown, and then a "river home"...apparently the river home is something straight out of Southern Living. So, I'm excited.

I was born in Charleston in 89 at the old Naval Hospital. Only lived there for 2 months. I went a couple years back, nice place everyone is friendly. Some parts of town are abandoned. The historic parts of town by the river are very nice. Economy there hasn't been the same since Clintoon closed down the base. City is trying hard to help the abandoned part of town. They also have a minor league team named the Sea Dogs. I would like to see pics, please. :D

Looks like you guys were due =|

You can roll the dice only so many times before you hit a 7.

We just moved into a house and spent the past few days buying and putting up hurricane shutters.
