August 5, 200421 yr they need to get back to doing the little things ... solid defense (niner, cabs i'm looking at you) .... smart pitching (no walks, manzy i'm now looking at you as well) ... and patient hitting (lo duca, lowell & castillo) these guys aren't taking advantage of the moment ... they let bad situations escalate by making mistakes .. last night it was the 2nd inning and the inning with manzy walking them loaded they also don't take advantage of when the other team is slipping .. fossum worked himself out of a jam when the marlins got impatient, then it happened again in the 9th when guys swung at pitches when their pitchers were walking everyone ....... no one learned this, and last night with 2 men on, no outs and the marlins looking to make some noise and rally back into the game, lo duca comes up, swings at a bad pitch on a hitters count and gets a DP instead of possibly getting a walk and loading the bases for lowell, cabs, cabrera and having a good shot of pulling the game real close, they only get 1 run in and the d-bags kept a safe margin just frusterating ... and it wouldn't of happened last year during the game last night they did a fluff piece with a blind announcer for a good 3 innings ..... just laughing and joking and going away from actual coverage ... how embarrasing is that .. the d-bags were winning so badly, that they went to full in the 3rd inning blech

We can't do that and haven't been able to do that all year.
