Featured Replies

Where I went to 9th grade (Cypress Creek HS) had 4500 students. Where I went from 10-12 (Lake Mary HS) had 2800 students. UF has 48,000 so it's gonna be kinda different.

Today i filled out the paper to transfer school's wish me luck everybody!!!I hope they accept me to the other school!!!

Yeah our school has a lot of kids but I wouldnt say HML isnt overcrowded either. Its a smaller school with still a whole bunch of students.

I got to agree Hialeah is over crowded.. But HML has alot alot of kids, and full of blacks too (i dont got nothing against blacks)

i transfered schools after the 4th grade. of course changed schools again after the 5th grade. transferred again after the 6th grade. of course changed schools after the 8th grade. transfered from Hallandale High (great school by the way, i pretty much was forced to transfer) to goleman.

transferring isnt fun.

Why did you transfer so many time? Moved? Disliked the school?

after the 4th grade my family moved to arizona. we had some problems with the house we bought so we moved again after my 6th grade year, so i had to transfer to another school. after my 8th grade year we moved back to florida and we rented a house in hallandale. i loved the school there but my family wanted to move closer to my grandparents (they had moved to hialeah) to make things easier so we moved AGAIN right before i started 10th grade. 5 years later, and im still living here. if my family ever decides to move again (especially out of state), they can go ahead, but they can count me out.

moving and transferring so many times f***ing sucked.

How long did you graduation ceremony take? Ours took a couple hours and we had half that many people.

Flanagan was about 5,000 when I attended.

Hey, that's where I go!

Yeah, I was about to say....it used to have around 5k so they moved 9th graders to a portable site but Everglades High opened so now there's a good 3500 I'd say and everyone's on the main campus, which the campus is HUGE. But you can tell it's pretty crowded, it's a pain in the ass to turn corners...you have to take like baby steps during passing time.

I went to the Annex on Pines and 172nd. 4 days a week because it was so crowded. I hated the 4 day schedule. When I moved to Mariner, back to 5 days, but it was just 7-2 instead of 7-3:30.

My alma mater was just under 1000 when I got there in 7th, 1200ish when I left (that's prob where they will cap it for the next few years).

My school now has about 34,000.

I didn't have to go to the Annex, they moved the 9th graders to the main campus last year (when I was in 9th) thank god!!

Yeah I heard that the 4 day schedule they used to have was stupid, 2 hours per class...I can barely stand 90 minutes.
