Forget the division...

the only way in is the WC now

8 back behind the Braves is virtually impossible

need the Cubs to lose tonight or we go 6.5 out

The division is something that is there, but forget about looking at it. If the Braves start a tailspin, then you can start to look at it again. The Cubs must lose tonight.

hopefully the dodgers will comeback against philly and the pads will lose while the cubs lose so we wont lose ground to anyone (well except sf)

Yep, we had to keep pace while playing the Brewers. Next up for us is the Cardinals while the Braves host the Brewers. Good chance we will be 9 or 10 games back after this series.

We have 2 paths to the playoffs:

1) The division

2) The wildcard

You cannot give up on either, but you cannot live on them. Neither is ours and we must earn them. Now who believes this team could make the playoffs either way? I believe we can.

The Wild Card seems the best chance now. The good news is that we are going to play all of the contenders, so it is in our hands. We are just going to have to start winning again like we did in April. We can't let up and we can't afford to have more games like today where the offense doesn't produce.

Sept. Schedule is pretty similar to April.

The marlins have 6 games against the Braves left. If they win all six, it is not "virtually impossible"

we couldn't beat the Braves when they sucked and we were hot so i wouldn't count on sweeping 6 from them now that they're healthy and good.

I'm afraid we've pissed away the playoffs against the pirates, expos, and Dbacks.

The marlins beat the braves last year when they were good, and have done poorly this year against bad teams.

I hope LoDuca's hand is better when we play the Cards.

Same with Benitez and his elbow.

IMO we're not going to win the division..BUT there is hope to win the wild card. And honestly, I'm content with the thought of winning the wild card because we all know our history with it :D

You never know what could happen, right now gotta look towards the wild card, but for all we know Braves could forget how to play baseball and lose 5 in a row anything can happen. Especially with 6 head to heads against them. Don't we have 6 with the Cubbioes too?

I hope LoDuca's hand is better when we play the Cards.

He has Monday to rest too!

I saw a report today that said LoDuca was available if necessary. I'm sure they wanted to give him 3 days rest with the off day tomorrow. I'm sure he would have been a better choice than Harris, and am wondering why Jack didn't use him.
