What teams are said to be cursed?

 

I know..

-Chicago Cubs

-Boston Red Sox

-Indians- thats what my aunt said

Cubs and Red Sox are the mainstream choices.

 

You could also throw in:

 

White Sox

Indians

Tigers

Astros (they've never won a playoff series to my knowledge)

Giants according to their fans

Expos might as well be

 

Come to think of it, it's been a long time since anyone in either the NL or AL central (well, the divisions I don't believe have ever had a WS winner, but as far as the teams in the division now go) have won a World Series. Reds in '90 were the last ones I believe.

The Tigers aren't cursed. Their nucleus of talent got old near the end of the 80s, then they had the worst front office ever in the 90s.

 

White Sox would be a good addition to that list.

people, the tigers won the world series in the 80s or 70s, they are not cursed.

 

only 4 teams are cursed (contrary to what craig says), both chicago teams since 1919, the indians, and boston.

 

you see, nothing offends the baseball gods more than throwing the holiest of the holy: the world series. therefore they will give the cubs and sox called shots, close calls, and everything else to worsen the pain.

 

the indians had an ex manager who cursed them and when reminded of this curse they lost in 1997.

 

the red sox for obvious reasons.

they've only won one WS, if I'm not mistaken...I once read a column on why they're cursed...and trust me, they're as bad or worse than many other "cursed" teams!

The whole city of Philadelphia is cursed. Every year they have championship calibur teams and they choke. It's rather comical.

how about the twins in 91?

Forgot about them.

 

Still 13 years though.

 

Since then, off the top of my head, the NL East has won it three times (Marlins 2, Braves 1), NL West once (DBacks), AL West once (Angels), and the AL East (Blue Jays 2, Yanks every other time).

Move this post to "other sports" because I am introducing the Miami Dolphins, as much as I LOVE the Phins, this team is cursed, we are now paying for what Shula did in the 70's selling his soul to the devil :whistle
