"Posted on Sun, Aug. 08, 2004 Goldberg silenced -- for now Afternoon talk-show host Hank Goldberg, suspended by WQAM on Tuesday, isn't scheduled to be back on the air anytime soon. WQAM suspended Goldberg after he said on the air Monday that Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria is separated from his wife and that his wife, Sivia, is the one with ''the money.'' Goldberg wondered aloud how that might affect the team's attempts to get a new stadium. ''Nothing I said is incorrect,'' said Goldberg, who is not being paid during his suspension. The Marlins declined to respond to Goldberg's comments. WQAM general manager Greg Reed would not say if or when Goldberg will return. Howard David, who is losing his morning slot to Howard Stern, was told he will fill in for Goldberg this week. Goldberg is scheduled to be on vacation from Friday through Aug. 29. In March, Reed suspended Goldberg and said he considered firing him after he had a parking-lot confrontation with a member of the station's sales staff. But Reed reinstated Goldberg after a week. Goldberg will not be pursued by ESPN Radio 790, which will begin an all-sports format Sept. 1, according to 790's Alan Brown. Goldberg's WQAM contract expires in December." Link

It is ethically wrong, but when has 560 stuck the ethics?
August 11, 200422 yr Author Unlike professional sports where the FO and managers/coaches are prohibited from discussing their interest in players (or even other managers and coaches), I have to agree with Frenzy here that it is unethical to discuss an interest other media's talent. That said, the idea of Hank being a man without a country pleases me no end.
