This week we pass Philly, next week SF when they come down to the Pro, by the end of the month we'll have the Cubs right here for the taken. WE WILL FIGHT TO THE END LIKE WORLD CHAMPIONS. then there's no looking back!

GO MARLINS "the fish that rather die then be caught"

*little nugget: I found out this week that Florida called SF before making the deal with LA. last month They called about AJ and Felix Rodriguez, I would think they offered Penny and a prospect Murphy (No Choi). I was told SF didn't bite. Interesting :mischief2

Also the Marlins aren't done, IF the team is in the lead or a game back. The Marlins could make another run at Carlos Delgado or maybe Rondell White. But thing with White Dealin Dave would have to bring back the player he trade three years ago Juan Encarnacion fat chance. We'll see BUT FIRST WIN!

Predictions suck.

How can one predict what a team does....yet they have no physical connection to the team?

What's the point in a prediction? If you're prediction turns out correct, you can pat yourself on the back? Lame, in my book.

Furman: Do you set out to go into every thread and trash the way someone does something? Seems like you always have an off-topic nonsense post everywhere I go. Don't you get tired of coming off as a jerk?

Thanks for the insight, Ed. I'd actually prefer to stick with the current team than make any changes to the lineup since it's pretty much messed (especially if the options are Delgado or White). I think it's going to be fine the rest of the way especially if Aguila takes over Enc's spot.

I love Aguila, but I dont think he is ready to take Enc's spot. Defensively, sure, but offensively - even as bad as Enc has been all year (and he is suffering from an injury) I dont think Aggie is ready. But I like his ability.

If we made a deal for Delgado, we would just put Conine back in LF and Cabs in RF again. Plus we would be on the books for a lot of money, right? I dont see that happening.

But we have to start winning more consistently. I think we should be able to pass Philly and I am tired of the Braves. They have to start breaking down soon.

Oh, and like Kerry didnt make that jump after the DNC, the Cubs arent making a big jump with the Garciaparra acquistion. I am here in Chicago, and everyone is excited about Nomah, but that team still has a lot of inconsistency to overcome. I dont think they are going to run away with the WC at this point, and that has been pretty true to form thus far. I think we may be making a pretty good case to take it...but we have to start winning a lot more. We need a run.
