Cubs Fans May Be Locked Out Of Wrigley

Featured Replies

*Starts conspiracy theory*

Alright this is a stretch, but anyways Wrigley does not seat as many fans as many stadiums around the league. I have read articles and seen reports about how they want to get more seating for the stadium but there simply is not enough room. So the stadium is 'falling apart' and getting really run down. Cubs fans would never be for the owner building a new stadium, but if he were forced too because Wrigley was becoming 'too run down' he would not be hated nearly as much, and he would also then make much more money with the additonal seating and updated stadium which he could obviously have it designed after Wrigley just more seats.

*Ends conspiracy theory*

They tried blowing up the Bartman ball, why not try blowing up the stadium? Or how about the cork in Sammy's bat? Maybe they should just get rid of the Cubs, that would make me happy. Ship out the Cubs and Red Sox to Japan and leave them there for eternity.

This is golden.

They will never actually cancel any games there, but the back and forth fued between the Tribune Co, who packs 40,000 fans a game into an unsafe park, and the Chicago City Council, mainly Mayor Dailey, is quite funny.

Oh, the outrage it would case here if they actually locked the Cubs out of Wrigley..... :)

amen

Well, it's a great park.

But they've never really won there. Maybe that is the jinx?

How about they ship all the unneccassary expansion teams to Antarctica?

Then baseball collapses because great franchises like the Mets, Padres, Royals, Blue Jays, Expos (yes they are a great franchise waiting to return to glory), and the more recent examples of the Diamondbacks and Rockies in terms of success on and off the field.
