Posted September 6, 200420 yr At the break, the mets were 1 game back for first place. today, 9/4/04, the mets are 20.5 games back...twenty and A HALF. WTF? I'm just hoping the expos finish in front of us, because they are only 3 games behind us and it would be a fitting end to a pathetic season. Now, I have to admit I am wrong about a couple of things: 1. the mets bullpen sucks outside of looper. a couple of hot arms decieved us for a month or so 2. mets position players suck. with players like reyes coming back and piazza batting .320 with 15 homers in june, your only weakness appears to be jason phillips. however, reyes sucks. he never walks and is GLASS. Kaz is absolutely terrible. Piazza proved us that his entire career is done. Some resurgences from Hidalgo, Cameron, and the debut of Wright were all great, but the weaknesses at 1st, catcher, SS, 2b, and mediocre LF ruin the mets' offense. the potential was there, but forget it now I just needed to vent p.s. if met Dumb Ass wants to reply here with more of his ass obssesive name calling, I suggest his posts get deleted.
