September 13, 200421 yr Where the swirling winds always seem to end up being a factor in the game, as they did on that blooper that fell and gave the marlins a 4-2 lead. Only 4,000 fans there, which is a shame, if they had played these games at night, there'd be 10 to 15 thousand there in all likelihood, if not more. BUT, you could hear and see the White Sox fans making noise and cheering for the Marlins during that great bottom of the 8th inning. 1-0 at the Cell and do it again tomorrow Fish!!! :thumbup
September 13, 200421 yr ESPN has 2 games slated to be played at The Cell tomorrow (2:35, 5:05 ET) - is there any truth to this? I was thinking of going to a game, but I dont have much money now but for a double header, I certainly will take the plunge.

September 13, 200421 yr I can't wait for the fish to get a new stadium so we can call it something as cool as the cell! :thumbup

September 13, 200421 yr I love these day games....not so bored at work when I'm cheering on the Marlins
September 14, 200421 yr Whats even better is that the Cubs fans just keep getting disappointed by the Fish.

It's not Wrigley, but it's a great place to watch baseball. Besides...the blue colored seats almost match the teal trim in your team's uniforms. It's unfortunate it was a day game...like another poster said, if the games were at night, more people would've been able to attend. We White Sox fans work for a living...we can't afford to take off for day games as often as our "neighbors to the north." Not to mention, how does it feel to have so many people outside Miami/South Florida cheering for YOUR team? I personally think it's a chance for us Sox fans to thank the Marlins for beating the Cubs last year. What say you?

I personally think it's a chance for us Sox fans to thank the Marlins for beating the Cubs last year. What say you? Well, I remember after we came back to beat them in game 7 of the NLCS, this place was flooded with Sox fans, thanking us (or the team) for beating the Cubs. What a great series.
September 14, 200421 yr "An alliance once existed between Sox fans and Marlins fans. I have come to honor that alliance." -Lord of the Rings, Two Towers. Helms Deep. And today is part two. See you all there - I will be the guy wearing a Marlins jersey.
