does Kensing or perhaps Hutch get the start Friday?

I'm guessing Kensing, but we know once the game starts Jack could care less about tomorrow, only today.

I doubt it's your boy Hutch, Ramp. The shoulder pain, Arizona fall league and 40-man roster kinda do him in.

Manzy pitching now, Weathers pitched earlier. Looks more and more like Kensing with every passing pitch.

He won't do great, but it's better than Kensing. He's better than his #'s indicate at Albuquerque, he was killed by the home run ball which is understandable playing at the park, and he got better as the season went on.

Well, now Kensing's pitching so it's anybody's guess.

Played to today or scheduled for tomorrow: Bump, Howard, Kensing, Manzanillo, Pavano, Perisho, Small, Weathers, Willis

 

Burnett, Benitez and Koch are unavailable.

 

So that leaves Beckett (3 days rest), Mota and Seanez on the active roster.

I will think its Kensing since he only threw 12 pitches so this might of been his bullpen day in between starts. Another possiblilty that no ones brought up is Ben Howard. When he was in SD, he was a starter so he might be better qualified than some other guys in the pen.

works for me. Howard until he gets in trouble, then Manzy til he beats the crap out of himself, then Perisho & then the back of the bullpen.

Everyone has brought him up. The topic of this thread is "So (Ben) Howard is in the game now."

Ben Howard has not made a start all season, in AAA or the majors, so I doubt he was even considered.

He has started in the past though so Ben should be considered. Put someone that has some experience starting and Ben and Kensing are the deal.

Putting someone in the starting role after being a 1 or 2 inning reliever all season is not smart. We've already seen it with Phelps, he got injured because he was thrown into the starting role after preparing himself to be a reliever.
