hey do you know anthony paniagua

That is so awesome.

So when the Rockies are in town, you'll go to Marlins games the week before to scout them sitting directly behind homeplate where all the other scouts are or are you strictly supposed to look for new talent? That's really awesome man, congrats.

Just curious, but what do teams look for when hiring scouts? Do they basically only hire former minor/major league players or is there some sort of degree you're supposed to get... how's it work? I've always wanted to get a job and be involved in professional baseball in some way, but I suck too much to play :lol .

Again, congratulations.

they usually hire people than have been involved with there organization one way or another...i played a little minor league ball for them and ever since i stop play ive always called them when ive seen a local kid with talent..out of like 6 players i recomended they signed 4 so they saw that i had an eye for talent so they offered me the job...part of my job is also to help them sign on other scouts so i can get moved up...my goal is to someday manage, they say this is one of the steps....

You got the dream job my friend, second to playing of course but you did that as well. Good Luck!
