Trade Castillo $5.5M

Trade Juan E $4M

Let Benitez go $3.5M

Do not replace Penny with someone of similar salary $4M or so.

Sign LoDuca $7M

Sign Pavano $8M

This leaves 46MM to re-sign Easley and obtain a RF'er who can bat # 5. Hmmm...Carlos Lee?

Pierre, LoDuca, Lowell, Cabrera, Carlos Lee, Conine, Easley, Gonzalez, Pitcher.

Starters: Beckett, Pavano, AJ, Willis, a # 5

Bullpen: Mota, Fox, Spooneybarger, Seanez, Bump, Weathers? Yes, it needs a lefty.

Not bad!

I would be fine with this situation, although you're #'s really don't matchup. You can't include both Penny and Enc when you're breaking down this years payroll. Also, Carlos Lee is under contract next year and will make $8 million so you can count that out. If we trade Luis hopefully we'll be able to fill that hole in the starting rotation with a young cheap player. Then if we have any left over money we could get a left-handed bat to platoon with Conine, and Willy. That would be the best case scenario I think.

i like that and plus expect more out of cabrera next year possibly 40 hr?

and mota can close if he did infact i think he would eventually rank up there with gange and the gang
