June 20, 200422 yr No party affiliation. While I tend to the democrats more, I can change my mind. If the Democratic party doesn't live up to my expectations I may just be a renegade and vote for an independant in the future. For now there is no other option than Kerry.
June 20, 200422 yr None. I normally vote republican locally and for congress and for democratic and libertarian presidents (no more wars please!)
June 21, 200422 yr I've become intrigued by the Constitutional Party....Peroutka is becoming an interesting candidate for my vote...
June 21, 200422 yr The Constitution Party sound a lot more like Phalangists than the libertarians they promote themselves as.
June 21, 200422 yr Conservative. I grew up ina Democrat household. (My sister worked in the Kennedy and Johnson White House staffs. As time went by I realized that an informed, thinking individual who noticed that the ones that are pulling the wagon and the ones that are riding on the wagon are totally different people. I chose to be one pulling.
June 21, 200422 yr Well Ceaser was a good leader. The world may have being way better if he would not have being killed. BTW: I consider myself a Republican. a good leader who was all about disregarding the Senate and attacking countries for the sake of more land...(i.e. present day Great Britain).
June 21, 200422 yr I'm republican with a few caveats The libertarian party has piqued my interest, i just can't get comfortable with the major platforms on drugs and military I definitely think gov't should me minimal, mainly because it's inefficient ... does anyone know why the postal service spends so much on advertising? .. it's not like they are going to significantly change people from fed ex and UPS on major packages and they already pretty much have the small guy locked up anyhow, i digress the republican party has upset me recently ..... it seems they are increasing federal control, gov't size and interference into life I've never supported the religous right and always thought of them as a necessary evil .. however they are starting to get more control in there I don't like the direction bush is taking the party .. however I can't figure out what kerry supports, so I can't get comfortable with him either I may just end up voting libertarian again my main gripe with democrats is that social programs really don't help ... i hate the handout approach I've seen people move into my home state just to get a better welfare benefit I also think both sides are equally phony .. with Democrats it's the annoying man of the people approach ... guys who went to private school, have never worked a working class job in their life and then throw on a flannel shirt and pretend to relate As a middle class rural person the democrat platform has actually hindered our success more than helped it ... Mario Cuomo caused horrific damage to the upstate NY economy ... businesses have been taxed to death and have left ... individuals get taxed to death to provide relief to others who aren't working as hard For me the social programs create more roadblocks and really don't help me much ... if they want to help me remove some restrictions, let me keep more of my money in my pockets and provide an environment where businesses can flourish and hire people
June 22, 200422 yr I'm a Conservative Democrat, or a Liberal Republican. So I'm a moderate who leans towards the left. If I were to ever run for office though, I'd run as a Democrat.
June 22, 200422 yr Im a libertarian for the most part, but I tend to vote republican b/c the democratic party is being hijacked by the far left (hitlery and kerry) rather than the middle grounders (edwards, slick willy). And before any one says it the rtepublicans are not hijacked by far right (remmeber bush beat out mccain a moderate in the last primaries, and barely). By the way by phalangists do you mean an american party by that name or the spanish phalangists under franco (possibly the most intelligent leader of the 20th century)
