October 4, 200422 yr God knows he'd do a MUCH better job at third than Jeff "I have a stop sign?" Cox Agreed.
October 4, 200422 yr Wow That be something if we get him as the third base coach, i didnt know he was so well regarded coaching third. Having both Jack and Bowa could also help the marlins get a good pitching coach since both these guys have being around.
October 5, 200422 yr I love Bowa! Bring Him in! 580747 Bowa is nothing but Trouble! I can't stand him. He's a complete jerk!! I will say that I think it's good that Rosey is history. I think he got a big head from last years success.
October 6, 200422 yr Author BBTN had Admin Bowa on. Some interesting comments he made:Citizen's ballpark is too small and if it gets hot, its a HR-a-thon Philly rotation isn't good for the park, too many flyball pitchers He didn't like the makeup of the team, too many power hitters He would prefer to manage a team with speed and play smallball Not against coaching next year, but the team would have to have players to play his style Spooky :plain
October 6, 200422 yr wouldn't mind him on the staff...it could not hurt. put him as a 3rd base coach or bench coach.
October 6, 200422 yr Another bonus. Jack doesn't argue much, so send Bowa out to argue! 584406 Yup.
October 6, 200422 yr Another bonus. Jack doesn't argue much, so send Bowa out to argue! 584406 :lol true
November 4, 200422 yr Author BOWA INTERESTED Former Philadelphia Phillies manager Admin Bowa said he is ''definitely leaning toward'' accepting the Marlins' bench coach position. The Marlins offered Bowa the job after the Phillies fired him at the end of the season. Bowa said he would likely inform the team of his decision today. ''Right now, I think everything is going to be all right,'' Bowa said. ``Right now, I definitely think I am [going to take the job].'' Both Bowa and manager Jack McKeon have strong personalities, but Bowa said ``that's not going to be a problem.'' ''Jack's the manager,'' Bowa said. ``The bench coach just sort of throws out ideas.'' The Marlins are also close to making announcements on a new pitching coach and bullpen coach.
