First off, I thought it was wrong to make a separate thread about her post, although it made sense seeing how off topic the Lowell thread would be. In hindsight it was a smart move, but I still think mods shouldn't go around spawning threads at their own will. Ask the poster if they want a new thread. You are a moderator, not God.

 

Secondly, why was the thread closed? I see no reason for a mod closing it. WTF? If you weren't interested then don't read it. If there was a reason for closing it then say so. Just don't close threads at random because you can.

 

 

And for FishFanInPA, I wanted to respond to you in that thread but I'll do so here.

Stop being such a royal pain in the butt. If you didn't believe her, thats fine. You don't have to post constantly to say that the story is BS. She didn't start a thread about this. The mods spawned off her post when she was talking about what Lowell was telling her at the hotel. Then it started getting off topic about Pavano.

 

Perhaps you thought she just created a thread to rub it in everybody's face she was getting hit on by the radio guy, but thats not how it started. Either way, we got the point that you didn't buy the story. Repeating it over and over doesn't make your point any better, it just makes you annoying.

The thread was a groupie thread, this isn't a groupie board. I let it run for a bit but it was enough. Not to mention it started to become a case of members just calling her a liar and her denying it and on and on.

 

I split the topic out by the way, not a mod because it was not on topic in the Lowell thread.

Fair enough. However if you split threads I'd ask to consult the poster first, or otherwise at very least, start the thread yourself and then move the other posts there to avoid confusion.

 

Since this thread was previously locked I couldn't reply to FishFan, but I apologized to him thru PM and would like to do so here too because I did unfairly single him out.

I originally intended to do was reply to his post in the first thread about how this chick didn't create the hotel thread. The thread was split when she was commenting on the Mike Lowell situation.

Don't want to rehash the thread but I was under the same impression. I was a kid when Lowell was at FIU so I can't say if he went to school there from day 1 or transferred. On his stats/bio it only states he went to FIU.

I don't know about you guys, but if I was a pro athlete (or radio anouncer BWAHAHA) i'd take advantage of the groupies, but i'd make them sign a contract first :lol .

First of all, I must say it was very entertaining although i personally thought it was a total bs and just someone screaming for attention , but hey that's just me. And, if you marlinsgirl want to share about your 'experiences' i suggest you go to a groupie board or a groupie stories board where i think your stories will be better received by your colleagues. He never went anywhere else for school. He went to FIU straight out of high school and finished his degree there.
