Who will replace Penny "IF" he's traded?

Featured Replies

Teams in contention might be interested in veteran bats such as Ben Grieve, Travis Lee and Al Martin or pitchers Joe Kennedy and Al Levine.

"I wouldn't be surprised, quite frankly, if Chuck didn't start getting some calls on some of our pitchers," Piniella said. "I wouldn't be surprised at all. And that might be a way we can help ourselves position player-wise."

CUP OF JOE: Kennedy will make one more rehabilitation start before he is scheduled to rejoin the Rays rotation.

Kennedy, out a month with left shoulder inflammation, pitches Friday in Richmond for Triple-A Durham, his second rehabilitation start. He started Sunday for Double-A Orlando. If all goes well, Kennedy will pitch a week from today in Oakland.

Jesus Colome would be very good! But he isnt a Starter. Jorge Sosa would also be good from Tampa Bay. they both have electric stuff and can be very effective. I wonder what DurableTear thinks of this?

it would look like this....

redman

beckett

willis

kennedy

pavano

i like. :) :thumbup :)

colome is as good as untouchable. he is being groomed as our future closer. his heat is great, but either way, hes not ready. hes not fit for a contender.

ray untouchables.

not many but here we go

Joe D

aubrey huff

seth mcclung

jesus colome

toby hall

pete laforest( hell be up soon)

carl crawford

bj upton

victor zambrano

jeremi gonzalez

any of the 2003 draft picks, which by the way, was VERY good.

avaliable

ben grieve

al levine

lance carter(for the right price)

travis harper( for a GOOD price)

joe kennedy( i dunno why a contender would want him, hes a work in progress

lou wants positional players, young, ready to play. the marlins and rays arent good trading partners, as the fish dont got any good ready to produce guys, especially know that hooper is unavaliable. which, btw, is lous kind of player

id rather have Levine or Lance Harper than Kennedy....

well if we go for bullpen help that is

who is Joe D?

2002: $2.4M

2003: $4.1M

2004: $6.25M

2005: $9.25M

and i would rather have Maroth than Cornejo

Joe Kennedy is a Brad Penny with a sinker! He gives you one good game then a horrible game. If we want something from TB, it should be Colome.
