One big complaint I have it CNN, they hesitated to much on calling certain states. They called SC an hour and a half after many of the networks did. I don't know what the hell Admin King was doing there. There was to much walking around the set and fancy camera shots. But the set was awesome.

 

FNC- did an excellent job and first noticed the huge flaws in the exit polls. Pretty funny when a piece of the desk they used collapsed.

 

NBC- had to many guest and not enough analyzing. It was pretty cool what they did with the blue and red ribbon and the ice rink.

 

CBS- did a lot of early calls on some states. I guess this was to gain some credibility back after recent controversy. Dan Rather seemed angry when Florida went to Bush. Overall they did a good job.

 

I didn't watch many of the other networks.

 

(MTV did a horrible job a lot of miscues not a very good job. Especially painting a very inaccurate map of the US when a state went to a candidate which seemed corny.)

The Daily Show won my vote. Now I know the next time I go to a ballot box not to lick the curtains.... they contain fecal matter.

FNC gave very good arguments on why they called Ohio so early. Apparently when Bush had a 110k lead they said that a huge republican area hadn't been tapped yet and that there was no way Kerry would come back. Most of the Kerry strongholds had already been counted.

 

As for Florida, they delayed in calling it because they hadn't got enough totals from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach to be confident.

I always end up on ABC, so that's where I stuck it out.

 

I think CNN did a pretty good job though from what I saw.

Fox was the quickest and most accurate with calls. I watched FOX, NBC, CNN, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, and FNC. Dish Network had a cool 6 channels on 1 screen feature for Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, MTV, Comedy Central, and C-SPAN. NBC, ABC, FOX, and CBS were over on my local affiliates.

The PBS round table was discussing that if Kerry won the Republicans would coupe because the own the military, government, intelligence agency, Rush Limbaugh, and Fox News.

 

 

O'Reilly on MSNBC- I prefer the sewing channel to MSNBC.

I watched NBC, didn't even bother flipping around to other channels. This was Tom Brokaw's last election before he retires on December 1st and i've been watching him every single weeknight for the past 10 years so I obviously watched NBC and Tom Brokaw did a great job... when Dan Rather and Peter Jennings went off the air, Brokaw was still there all the way up until noon the next day. Tim Russert was also right there with Brokaw the entire time which made it even better.

 

Dan Rather was hilarious, I think he was drunk or something.

When I was watching CBS, Dan Rather kept bashing Kerry in very suttle ways, as if he was trying to make it seem like CBS was not riding John Kerry's ball sack.
