My memory tells me those Expos/Nationals owned a certain team last year even though they sucked, and now they will only be better.

November 19, 200421 yr Are you guys serious? maybe you are pissed Guillen ain't going to FLA but the Washington club will still be pretty awful, especially with Robinson managing. They haven't improved all that much. Juan Rivera in the last 2 months of 04 was basically Jose Guillen at 300 K. Check his stats in the 2nd half of last year: .358 AVG .418 OBP .943 OPS 7 home runs In 215 at-bats Those stats scream 05 breakout year. Plus he has an absolute cannon in the outfield and can play CF. This guy at 300 K or Guillen at 3.5 million ? and Bowden threw in a decent MI prospect in Izturis... Bowden overpayed for an awful player like Guzman, goes for Castilla instead of Batista at twice the price (not too mention giving Castilla 2 years) and now this move. He barely improved their team, made it a whole lot more expensive and older. Thank god I won't have to follow that pathetic franchise anymore !
