November 24, 200421 yr Peter Gammons reports TB is considering trading him if they get very good pitching prospects in return. IMHO this is a bad move for TB because this is about the only power they have in the lineup. If they do trade him I wouldn't be surprised because it's TB they make stupid moves. Pinella wouldn't be to happy either.
November 24, 200421 yr If you can do it, do it. He would be a good fit down here, as he played at UM and that might draw some UM baseball fans out to the park to watch him.
November 24, 200421 yr I wouldnt mind trading for him. Give them Encarnacion and 2 good prospect (not Messenger)

November 24, 200421 yr its also been reported that huff is the least likely of any of their 'expensive' doods to be traded.
November 25, 200421 yr This is Pete Gammons idea of making a story extra juicy... Huff won't be traded unless for a Kazmir type deal...
November 26, 200421 yr I'd love to get Huff, but the only way the D-Rays would make a deal with us was if it were heavily in their favor.

November 28, 200421 yr he's got the kind of bat we need, its hard to imagine tampa wanting to trade him though. but if the price is right we should do it.
