November 30, 200421 yr I know that Dellucci has a number of contract offers, I was wonderinf if it was posted anywhere how much we might've offered him and what are the odds of us getting him. And is he worth the money?
November 30, 200421 yr I haven't even heard that we've OFFERED him a contract. 623902 RotoWorld.com - David Dellucci - OF - Rangers Free agent David Dellucci has offers on the table from seven teams: Arizona, Texas, Philadelphia, Florida, Colorado, Tampa Bay and Los Angeles.
December 1, 200421 yr From the visits he's been taking it seems that he's not looking for money. He wants a hitter's park, and that puts the Marlins out.
December 1, 200421 yr From the visits he's been taking it seems that he's not looking for money. He wants a hitter's park, and that puts the Marlins out. Because he knows he needs all the help he can get. That guy doesn't deserve much more than the minimum.
December 1, 200421 yr If we offered him anything it was too much. :plain MAKE SOME REAL MOVES GUYS! I BEG YOU! Treading water won't get you anywhere.
December 2, 200421 yr He's better than Enc and many others. 624770 You've got to be kidding me.

Or how about gold-glove caliber defense. I am sorry, but Texas thought they were getting a good starting ofer last year in Delluci from the Yanks, but they were mistaken. Yeah he is left handed but he has so little pop its negligible.

Last year: 242/342/441/783 17/61 in 107 games Career: 261/339/418/757 Encarnacion Last year: 236/299/405/704 16/62 Career: 265/311/439/751 Dellucci also had 9 sbs last year,, Juan had 5. He is a little older than Juan and has a weaker arm. But he draws more walks. But he is a lefty with some pop. And it is hard to get worse than Juan. He is a little better than Juan I think, by an eyelash, because Juan is on a sh*tty contract.

December 2, 200421 yr 94 RBIs 624815 Maybe if Dellucci had the following batters batting in front of him: Pudge - .369 OBP Lowell - .350 OBP Lee - .379 OBP Then he could hit an .262 average with runners in scoring position and collect 94 RBIs. Dellucci's marginally better and a better fit or the Marlins' needs.
December 2, 200421 yr Dellucci is a nice guy to have, but not for anything more than 1.5 million and with many teams eyeing him, I doubt we get him that low.
