December 5, 200421 yr Heat, only cause their only last 2 first round picks have turned out to be top rookies. or because im a heat homer..
December 5, 200421 yr First, erase the Krause years from your mind. That means forget about Brand, Miller, Arest awful trades and forget the Curry, Chandler and Fizer mess. Forget all that... that's all Krause's doings. Now, I like what John Paxson has done in the TWO years he has been on the job. He got criticized for taking Hinrich over TJ Ford.. and that has worked out great. Deng looks to be a great draft pick... might be the rookie of the year. Duhon was a great find in the 2nd round. Some thought he was just a college guard but looks to be a good role player.. He also made a good find in Andres Nocioni from Argentina... The jury is still out on Ben Gordon though he has improved a lot since the awful start. Now, I'm not saying they are the best by any stretch of the imagination... Paxson hasn't been around long enough to make that call. But he has done a nice job in the limited time he has been there.. especially cleaning up Krause's mess.
December 5, 200421 yr Author Incidently.... The Spurs knew about Nocioni over 4 years ago. They just couldnt a) guarantee him a roster spot b) give him enough cash. Great to see Andres in the NBA though....the Bulls are better for having him....I'm looking forward to seeing him go up against the Spurs...if only to see him in an NBA uniform.
December 5, 200421 yr Author Heat, only cause their only last 2 first round picks have turned out to be top rookies. or because im a heat homer.. 627530 Um.... Ya Wade was a great pick...give the Heat credit for not screwing up with that pick. But since when is Dorell Wright a top rookie? He hasnt even played. Credibility = in the toilet after that comment.

December 5, 200421 yr I don't know why the Heat didn't take Jameer Nelson, but he is playing pretty good for the Magic. Don't forget Caron Butler was a pretty good pick by the Heat.

December 5, 200421 yr Author I don't know why the Heat didn't take Jameer Nelson, but he is playing pretty good for the Magic. Don't forget Caron Butler was a pretty good pick by the Heat. 627553 Caron Butler also had a pretty crappy second year and has probably plateaued. With the Butler pick..they went with something they knew...Butler would produce at a decent level in this league...but few ever saw him ever becoming a star (he wont)... But without a doubt servicable.

Don't forget Caron Butler was a pretty good pick by the Heat. 627553 Wright could be Tracy McGrady in 5 years. 627556 Yeah, he hasn't really gotten a chance to play, so I don't really know how good of a player he is yet.

Credibility = in the toilet after that comment. 627540 yea my credibility is gone cause u said so. stfu.dorell wasnt picked to start. they had they pick they used it on him,and when he is given the chance to start or play thats when u will see what he can do or if it was a bad pick. im referring to the actual picks that have had chances to play, Butler and Wade and both shined in their rookie years and butler struggled in year 2 cuz of injuries. But im sorry your almighty spurs can never do wrong. Douche..
December 5, 200421 yr Author Furthermore.... Its easy to scout US players. What sets teams apart in terms of scouting is their ability to scout players throughout the international arena. And the Spurs are the organization talked about before any others in the international world of basketball.

December 5, 200421 yr Author well tim duncan is listed as an international player. and tony parker is kinda good.
December 5, 200421 yr tim duncan aint no damn international player in the true sense. :lol i know he was a foreigner but the whole league knew about him. damn das dont do this man. :lol
December 5, 200421 yr The Magic and John Weisbrod deserve a lot of credit for turning this team around. Three starters for the price of one? I'll take it. Dwight Howard looks like the real deal. Jameer Nelson is a solid player.
December 5, 200421 yr well tim duncan is listed as an international player. and tony parker is kinda good. 627586 you can't even begin to include Duncan though, that's just stupid. He played college ball at Wake. I think Phoenix has done a very good job. Amare Stoudemire was a great find and internationally they have found Zarko Cabarkapa who will definitely be better than Darko, and also Leandro Barbosa who I really like.
December 5, 200421 yr Author oh i know...just pointing that out. duncan is far from an international player. here's the thing..... the east is so far behind the west by and far for one reason and one reason only: international scouting.

December 5, 200421 yr Seattle Supersonics. They have a roster with a superstar in Ray Allen, surrounded by a remaining roster that is deep and stocked with very young and very talented players. And this year it is starting to pay dividends, they will be in the playoffs and I wouldn't be surprised to see them do some damage there.
