I have a fiber optic tree so all I do is set it up, plug it in, and viola....it lights up! It is fake, but these days they are getting better and better. The real tree is too depressing to me dying after Christmas...my fake one is always green.

Real tree, of course. This year, my family has one that's about 9 feet tall (which is small - usually we have 10/10.5/11 feet trees). Since I'm away at college, though, we'll have to wait until I'm home to decorate it.
