what should college football do?

Featured Replies

a playoff, 16 teams, 1 team from all the conference winners)11 i think), with 5 at large bids

thank you and good day.

Old Bowl System with an extra National Championship game after all bowls have been played.

Have the BCS System.

Top 8 Teams in the BCS duke it out.

brilliant

I like the plus one idea. Keep the BCS as is and after all of the bowls you play one more game between whoever is ranked 1 or 2 at that point.

That wouldn't solve a thing you :censored

If you used that idea, Oklahoma would be in the Fiesta, Auburn in the Sugar and USC in the Rose.

All three would potentially win, so you'd have the same problem.

The plus one idea is better.

i dont like plus 1, b/c it leaves Boise State and Utah out.....

16 team playoff system like NAIA, D-III, D-II, and D-1AA football...

16 teams, 11 conferences, 5 at larges, keept the 5 major bowls (Orange, Fiesta, Sugar, Cotton, Rose) as part of the system. Basically take all the bowls and rotate them, with one year the Rose being the NT game, Orange and Sugar being semifinals, etc. Fill out the rest of the field with bowls in descending order based on prestige, and you have a killer system. Bowls exist, still get money, and we get our playoff.

For teams that don't make the playoff but would qualify for a bowl under old rules, send them to the bowl games that aren't in the playoff that year.

I dont think you get the plus one system. There would be a vote after all bowls played and the two best would be seen and they would play. Makes sense to me.

what if there are 3 undefeated teams left at the end of the bowl season? There could be 4 this year. It's unfair for an undefeated team to get screwed like that....Boise State can't help it if better programs dont want to play them...and they can't just up and say "well, I'm gonna be in the Big XII this year so I can pad my SOS".

The fact is...a playoff actually decides a champion.

"well, I'm gonna be in the Big XII this year so I can pad my SOS".

They don't use SOS anymore. Please know what you are talking about before you spew about it. What a novel idea.

The fact is, uniformed people look like idiots.
