It isn't a human being till its breathing on its own without the use of the mother. Thats my view and once the abortion occurs, the fetus is dead before it can survive. And fourth month old premie baby survival rates are so low that you are probably more likely to die from a shark bite than live as a fourth month old premie baby.

People on life support are different then fetuses. Fetuses are just an extension of the mother and once that is cut then the fetuses deserve all rights given to anyone born.

we arent playing god keeping her alive. as humans we are supposed to do anything possible to survive. her body is not going to live forever with machines. it will eventually die somehow. pulling the plug makes her die. whats the difference between pulling the plug and shooting her. its the same thing. both cause imidiate death. its just 2 different methods. just because pulling the plug is more of a "quiet" and "painless" way to die, doesnt mean its not under somebody else's control. which is murder. id like to see how finding a way to survive is playing god. tahts the whole point of our existance. if it wasnt we'd still have 25 yr life spans as it was 200 or so years ago. we as humans evolve and find methods to survive. not methods to shorten our existance so that our souls can go to where they want to go "faster".

How about those babies that wind up in dumpsters because they were unwanted, they lived great lives right? Hitler was an unwanted baby but his mother wasn't allowed to have an abortion, good thing right? I guess you are happy he stuck around and murder... oh... basically the entire jewish population.

 

My morals are screwed up? You want to take the rights away of people about their bodies. If you outlaw abortion people will find ways to have them, but these ways won't be nearly as safe since most doctors won't par-take in illegal activities. So that would probably lead to more deaths, or at least injuries by women trying to have abortions in unconventional ways.

 

Like I said before. You would be okay to go up to a woman who was raped, is now HIV positive is pregnant with an unwanted baby, also HIV positive and tell her she has to have the baby? I am sure a baby born HIV positive has a great life. It's got nothing to with religion to me. Liberals like you who make these ridiculous stereotypes are going to be faced with quite a rude awakening when you get out of your little liberal college and group of friends.

 

Anyway, I'll tell the woman that the only reason that the status of this "right" is an issue is because the left made it so to gain votes, they do not care about the principles. It's just a sure fire way to gain votes from a convincable demographic.

I happend to like Kerry and not Bush. Maybe it had something to do most of my family is from Massachusetts and because Bush is just a dope, so what? Like I have said before in '08 I will probably be voting Gulliani or Ahhhnold, I see how that makes me a liberal.

 

I know I am no extremeist conservative, I consider myself a moderate, just lean to the right. But when it comes down to abortion and gay rights in particular I have very liberal standpoints on those things, because of my life and how things were. So you attacking liberals doesn't matter to me, because outside of those two issues I am rather conservative. I am very much a fiscal conservative, as well as when it comes to international affairs.

 

Anyway back on topic. Someone who is against abortion and wants it outlawed tell me you would go to women who were raped and tell me you would be able to tell them they HAVE to have that baby. Because I would have no problem with going up to people who are against abortions and tell them why their thoughts on it are misguided.

 

If you take the judgement away from women you are saying they don't know what is the best for their body and their life. And if they don't know what is the best for themselves, why in the world do we even let them leave the house? Maybe you all don't think women should leave the house because you obviously don't think they know what is the best for themselves. If that is what you think say it, fess up. I am sure a lot of women would respect that viewpoint.
