ROYOWORLD:ESPNews is reporting that Tim Hudson has been traded to Atlanta for Juan Cruz, Dan Meyer and Charles Thomas.

Not bad for Oakland. We don't think much of Thomas, but at least the Braves got both Cruz and Meyer. Cruz could be viewed as another power arm for the pen, but he deserves the chance to win a rotation spot. He'll be quite the sleeper if he gets one. Meyer will probably head to Triple-A for the start of the year, but he'll be one of the first pitchers called up. Thomas made a lot more sense in Atlanta than he does in Oakland. He shouldn't start over Nick Swisher in right. As a reserve, he's OK.
