December 30, 200421 yr Good for him and The Yanks. Hopefully he realizes this is his last hurrah. If I remember didn't Jeter push hard for this?
December 30, 200421 yr And here's the article from MLB.com: http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/news/mlb...s_mlb&fext=.jsp Nice to see Tino back again.
December 30, 200421 yr LET'S GO TINO!! :notworthy He was SO valuable to our team and he's such a good guy. How can you NOT like Tino??
December 31, 200421 yr I've always liked Tino, and it's a solid move for the Yankees as long as he can still drive in some runs.

While I hate the Yanks, I'm glad he got to go back there, cause I know it's what he wanted and it's where he's had most success.
December 31, 200421 yr Looks like Tino almost became a Fish Martinez, 37, played for New York from 1996-01, helping the Yankees win five AL pennants and four World Series titles. A close friend of Derek Jeter, Martinez hit .262 with 23 homers and 76 RBIs for Tampa Bay last season. ``The Florida Marlins probably were my other choice,'' Martinez said. ``If the Yankees had any interest at all, whatsoever, it's where I wanted to be, where I wanted to finish my career.''
January 1, 200521 yr Good for Tino.. I actually liked him in St. Louis but he didnt do as good as I or Cardinals fans wanted him to and expected outta him (Ooh well we have a stud at 1b now).. How much are the Yanks gonna overpay for him though? I wish him well but dont honestly see how much left he can give the Yanks.
